Charlotte Memorial Walkway

The Charlotte Memorial walkway was started in 2011. The design and work was done by Anthony Eberhart. There are three different areas where names are displayed. One area is for Charlotte Firemen, one for past and present veterans and an area for citizens.

Old Mill Covered Bridge

In 1997 the Old mill covered bridge was dedicated.  This bridge is on Flat bridge road,  it was used by the stage coaches after stopping and dining at the Markhams Hotel. The bridge is called a pony truss bridge and is well over 100 years old.

Flooding undermined the supports of the bridge and damaged the bridge.  It was removed in 2019.

The C.A.A.C use to be the Charlotte School. It housed Kindergarten through 12 grade. When the school was not needed anymore they sold the school to the City and now the school is used as Charlotte's Community Center.
